Airport Safari – Let Loose of the Everyday Life! |

| The view from your aeroplane window already gives you a glimpse of the clean whiteness of the snowy wilderness.
The haste of your everyday life is over on the airport as you are greeted by our guides who will steer you to adventure! You will be given equipment and a change of clothes at our Safari House at the airport, and your luggage will be taken to Ruka Holiday Resort for you. Our guides will show you how to drive the snowmobile and give you safety instructions, before you will start up the engines and head off to the wilderness.
What better way to cut the last strings to civilization than to switch off your mobile phone and let the senses as well as the imagination enjoy the true winter wonderland? On the way you may see the Northern Lights and the starlit sky, or powdery snow settling gently on trees bent double under its weight, depending on what time of day your flight has arrived.
Half way through the trip we will take a break and have a delicious lunch in an idyllic private restaurant. There is ample time to relax by the wood-burning fireplace and share your impressions on the trip. After the break we will continue to ride towards the lights of Ruka Holiday Resort which are already visible in the distance.

Snowmobile Safari to Husky and Reindeer Farms |

Snowmobiles, huskies and reideers at the same day!? Now you have an excellent chance to try these all.
First you'll drive snowmobile through snowy landscape and finally you'll reach the real husky and reindeer farms. The fusky farmer will familiarize you to the dogs and you'll get a short course in husky driving. After that you'll drive on your own a husky sledge about 5 km.
After the husky drive you’ll enjoy tasty supper by the camp fire. You’ll also get coffee or other warm refreshment.
After the break, the reindeer farmer will meet you with the mystical white reindeer. Under his care you will learn the tricks of a reindeerman, go for a ride in a reindeer sledge, throw a lasso and take part in a reindeerman's ritual. You’ll end this programme driving back to the starting place by snowmobile.
